Moscow State Circus

The Curve is Leicester's £60million showpiece theatre and is a brilliantly interesting building to go and catch a performance. It's rather tucked away down Halford Street but is less than 5 mins walk from the M&S and the main shopping area or you can park at the NCP right next door. And although it's taken a while for it to get going, it has really found its feet now.

We went to the Moscow State Circus for a family birthday and had a great time. The show was stunning, family friendly and had us all on the edge of our seats. There was a strong element of comedy throughout which kept the children tittering and when it came to acrobatics, swing (trapeze) and the obligatory sawing a lady in half, we all sat thinking how do they do that?!

Contortionists, roller skating, tumblers and swinging from the chandelier were great but I think the most fun were the couple who could leap into a giant sack or run through a shower of confetti and seconds later appear in totally different clothing (how..?).

We will be keeping an eye on forthcoming shows at Curve. You can visit any time (nice café) or look online at what's coming. www.curveonline.co.uk.
