Over two hundred guests gathered to help Mrs Marjorie Smart, honorary member of Glenfield Gardeners' Association, celebrate her 95th birthday. Family and friends enjoyed exploring the large garden, listening to the live music, and raising money for Meningitis Now, Marjorie's chosen charity. Plants raised by Marjorie, and donations of flowers were raffled in aid of the charity, as was a colourful patchwork quilt.

Thankyou so much Marjorie, for sharing your special day with so
many people.

PS. Marjorie's late husband, Henry, was a founder member of the GGA, and in 1988 he produced a booklet entitled 'The History of Glenfield Gardeners' Association' which makes very interesting reading. Recently reprinted, copies are available for sale at GGA monthly meetings.
