Western Park incidents

Parish Pen news: Western Park Golf Course:
Due to the amount of complaints to the Police from residents of Glenfield, a meeting was arranged by the Police Beat Team of Glenfield on Saturday 11th March 2017 to update residents on actions Leicester City Council had decided to implement in an attempt to reduce the number of incidents on the old golf course.

Over 50 residents attended the meeting and the Police hope it was of some benefit. The Beat Team will continue to endeavour to help the community with the problems that we are facing on the old golf course and will be providing residents and the Parish Council will regular updates in respect of these issues.

Closure of Glenfield Youth Club:
It is with disappointment that the Parish Council announces the closure of the Glenfield Youth Club with effect from the 24th March 2017. The decision was made to close the Club to enable the Parish Council to develop and implement new and leaner ways of working and to explore other opportunities of engaging with young people to ensure that the future delivery of this valuable community service matches the aspiration of our future generations.

Councillor Vacancies:
We still have a number of vacancies on the Parish Council. We would like to have a "full" Council. Interested? Might be persuaded? Like to know what it entails? Want to have a say in what the council does?

Please contact the Parish Office or speak to a Parish Councillor. You'll find their details on our website www.glenfieldparishcouncil.org.uk
