Fun at the farm

The Foundation children at The Hall enjoyed a day of fun and sunshine at Stonehurst Farm Park. As part of their 'Growing' topic they learnt about the farm animals and the food they produce for us to eat. They watched as new lambs were fed and collected eggs in the hen house. They also went on a 'mini beast' hunt. A highlight of the day was the tractor ride around the farm and having a picnic lunch together. It was great to see the children asking and answering questions to further their knowledge and understanding. It was a valuable learning experience and as one child excitedly told the farmer, "I'm going to be a farmer when I grow up – I love it here!"
