Grandparents' tea dance

The Year Six children at The Hall once again organised a special occasion for their Grandparents. Personal handwritten invitations were sent and their relatives arrived from far and wide. The children performed several traditional dances including 'Strip the Willow' and the 'Valletta'. Then it was the turn of their Grandparents to take to the floor with their Grandchildren – much fun was had by all!
The children had been busy cooking all week and they served up a delightful tea for everyone to enjoy. The afternoon was rounded off with the children singing several classic songs including 'When I'm sixty-four' and 'The Wonder of You'. Audience participation was a must! As one Grandparent said, "I can't believe how the years have gone by since they first came to The Hall. It's tremendous to see how they have all matured and developed into such fine young people!" Another Grandparent commented, "I haven't danced in years! It was a most enjoyable afternoon – a lovely memory!"
