Boreatton Park residential trip

The Year Six children from The Hall headed off to Boreatton Park in Shropshire for an exciting residential adventure before half term. Their stay at the PGL Centre included lots of outdoor and adventurous activities along with team building exercises. On their return they put together an inspiring assembly for their parents and friends to re-tell all their experiences. As they told their parents, "We had the perfect opportunity at Boreatton Park to motivate each other and develop positive attitudes." Film clips of their adventures were shown and several children made the following observations:
"Most people tried everything even the high ropes but if they were scared we cheered them on."
"I encouraged my team to conquer their fear of heights by cheering them on."
"Quad biking was great fun, the steering was tricky but I stuck at it and by the end I had mastered it."
"In the puzzle park we had to balance on a giant see-saw. We had to work as a team – with a lot of effort we achieved the perfect balance."
"With the trapeze, seeing others succeed gave me the courage to have a go."
It is through such experiences that the children build relationships understand and appreciate each other in a positive way. Thanks are expressed to all the staff and parents for making such an opportunity possible.
