Martin High receives Healthy School award

We are in the top 13 schools in Leicestershire for our GCSE results and in January we will publish the validated results information on our website.

Our assessment fortnight was hugely positive, with learners working hard and striving to achieve their very best.
We are delighted to announce we have received the Healthy School Award for Emotional Health and Wellbeing.
We are extremely proud of the holistic care our learners receive here at MHS and achieving this status is real recognition of that work.

Cedars Martin
Our Post-16 provision is really taking off; there have been several taster events and more are planned for the New Year. UCAS applications are now being submitted and it is great to see our learners opting for Cedar Martin.

Leonard Cheshire Disability
Our Christmas Fayre and raffle took place on the last day of term and this year we have been supporting The Leonard Cheshire disability Home on Stadon Road, Anstey. We will give you an update in the New Year.
Our Christmas production this year was Oliver and we took a group of the performers on what was a very icy, snowy morning down to Leonard Cheshire to perform a couple of songs from Oliver and a Christmas Carol.
The residents thoroughly enjoyed it and sang along with the pupils, it all got very emotional. Our learners are amazing and it was good for them to get involved in our/their local community. Hopefully in the New Year we can continue to involve our learners with people that live in their community.

A huge thank you to the cast and crew of the hit production Oliver which ran over two nights, put on by Miss Milner and Miss Yeabsley. With Grace Richardson as Oliver, Jack Bland as Dodger and James Bennett as Fagin, the cast played to a packed-out audience on both nights on the 18th and 19th December; this was a culmination of hours of work, practise and preparation behind the scenes.

It's safe to say Oliver was a huge triumph and left all involved wanting 'more!'
