Space Centre visit

The Year Five children from The Hall visited the Space Centre to enhance their science learning. They spent time exploring each section of the centre and enjoyed the shuttle experience as they launched into space. They enjoyed seeing their learning about the universe and planets brought to life. They took part in a workshop about life in space and lots of children tried to find their centre of gravity much to the amusement of their friends. Through innovative experiments they explored air pressure seeing what happens to a marshmallow in an air tight container. The highlight of the trip was seeing the shuttle and visiting the planetarium where they learnt about the Greek gods and stars. The children enjoyed it so much lots of them have already re-visited the centre with their families.
