Reflectors assembly

This month, Glenfield Primary School Year 6 pupils had the chance to visit Warning Zone, a Life Skills Centre in Leicester. Here, we were made aware of some of the dangers children of our age can face in our daily lives. We learned how to safely escape from fires, how to use the internet appropriately and carefully and be aware of cyber-bullying as well as simply learning to be safe when crossing the road. The information shared was really useful:
"I never realised that every Social Media application has a 'Report Abuse' button." – Stephy
"We were told that when you're with certain people, you're more likely to give into peer pressure." – Megan
"My favourite part of the trip was when we had to practise how to get out of a house fire safely." – Anouk
Overall, the day was exciting and informative and Year 6 were taught how to stay safe in everyday life.
