Glenfield burglaries stabilise

In December the police received 250 calls from members of the public relating to incidents across the three parishes of Glenfield, LFE and Kirby Muxloe.
January's figures for burglaries remain relatively stable with10 incidents reported in Glenfield. The offences appear to be moving towards the New Parks boundary and the surrounding area. The police continue to target burglary as a priority and are actively trying to disrupt those we believe are offending as well as helping those affected by these offences.
There were 7 reports of car crime, again mostly in the same area of Glenfield, the majority of these car crimes was a spate of criminal damage following a pattern along the route that was taken, this is being further investigated by PC Wardle who is actively looking for any CCTV and carrying out relevant enquiries. For a lot of these no theft was committed it was an act of criminal damage.
Yet again more speeding enforcement patrols have been carried out. On Liberty Road 17 verbal warnings and 1 Traffic Offence Report was given out, and on Station Road there were 9 verbal warnings and 1 Traffic Offence Report. In light of recent complaints if during school pickups and drop offs there are any issues of concern please forward these directly to the local council at customer.services@blaby.gov.uk (01162750555) who are able to deal with these issues accordingly.
