Dance assemblies

The Hall has a great tradition of dancing – skills which improve physical health, provide opportunities for socialisation, give room for self-expression and raise self-esteem. This year both Miss Chester and Miss Mistry organise extra-curricular clubs for the Year Six Four and Year Three children. The older children performed their rock dance routine in special assemblies. The children put the routine together themselves and choreographed all the moves with great skill and dexterity. Miss Mistry led a special assembly about Indian dance demonstrating Bharatanatyam, Bangra and Bollywood dancing. The whole school were encouraged to join in with the expressive moves. The Year Three and Four Bollywood dance groups then performed for everyone as well – they showed great enthusiasm and enjoyment. The fast and furious routine won rapturous applause. As one of the younger children commented, "I can't wait to join the dance club!"
