May Pole dancing

The tradition of Maypole Dancing continued at The Hall with the Year One children leading the Spring Celebrations this year. They performed several dances including the barber's pole, spider's web and plait dances with enjoyment and skill. The double plait with its intricate steps was a highlight of the occasion. Families and friends were impressed with the ease at which the children were able to dance and skip. Parent volunteers added to the excitement of the occasion by taking their turn at dancing, much to the delight of their children! With the crowing of the May King and Queen by two Year Six children and the hobby horse dancing, it was a memorable event thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
