Police to employ Rural Beat Vehicle

In December the police received 304 calls from members of the public relating to incidents across the three parishes of Glenfield, LFE and Kirby Muxloe. There were 8 burglaries reported in Glenfield and 4 vehicle crimes (broken into or stolen).
In December, members of the beat team attended the libraries in all three Parish's to speak with patrons there along with Glenwatch Volunteers.
In 2018, we will be taking the Rural Beat Vehicle to locations around the three villages.

On February 24th we will be at Tesco, Dominion Road, Glenfield between 7.30pm and 9.30pm
Whilst we obviously can't visit every area within the parish's this way during the course of the year we will be aiming to be at locations that are close enough for everyone to have the opportunity to visit us and voice their concerns and ask for any advice.
If you are part of a group and you have an event you would like us to attend at any point in the future please let us know, we would be more than happy to come along and be present and offer crime prevention and/or safety advice.

The next Glenwatch meeting is on Tuesday 6th March starting at 7.15pm at the Parish Council offices, Park House, Stamford Street – everyone welcome. Come along and hear the latest police information and have your say.
You can contact Glenwatch by email at contact@glenwatch.org.uk or on 0116 2875141 or via the Glenwatch website and on Facebook.
